• Prep
  Prepare surface by removing loose paint, dirt, rust, grease, wax, etc. rusted areas need to be completely removed and treated with an anti-corrosive primer. Wash the surface to be painted with a mild ammonia based cleaner and warm water. Rinse well and dry with a clean lint-free cloth. Solvent clean the surface to remove all oil, road tar, dirt, grease, and wax with Dupli-Color Grease and Wax Remover or equivalent and a clean lint-free cloth. Completely scuff-sand and featheredge the entire area to be painted with 1000 grit sandpaper or a Scotch Brite pad. Repeat clean, rinse, and dry steps. Completely mask the surrounding areas to be painted, covering any parts, which may be affected by overspray.
• Application
  Thoroughly shake and stir contents before applying. Strain paint before pouring into spray gun cup. Use of a Dupli-Color Strainer Kit (BSP400) is recommended. Adjust air pressure on a conventional spray gun to 30-40 psi. Before spraying make sure to use a tack cloth and carefully tack off the area to be sprayed, removing any sanding dust or particulates. Apply 2-3 coats of paint allowing 5-10 minutes dry time between coats. First coat should be applied with a light to medium coat, holding the gun 8-10 inches from the surface. Allow 5-10 minutes between coats and apply a medium to full second coat. Apply as many coats as necessary to achieve full color.
• Clean Up Disposal
  Use Dupli-Color® Lacquer Thinner, Acetone or Prep Spray to clean the spray gun and wipe off any overspray. Clean immediately after use.
