In the late 1930’s, Army Lt. Colonel Sigmund Edelstone had an idea: to sell touch-up paint for cars that matched perfectly to the original factory finish. Starting his business from his garage, he stocked up by filling touch-up bottles with bulk OEM paint from manufacturers like Sherwin Williams. Sigmund was never satisfied with less-than-perfect results, which helped his business thrive and eventually become the leader in the industry.

For over 80 years, Dupli-Color has been known for its “perfect match” in touch-up automotive paints and is dedicated to continuing its founder’s philosophy of “perfection” through product innovations for vehicle refinishing, OEM and specialty coating markets.
